There are many questions being asked by Eastvale Residents. The Eastvale Incorporation Committee prepared some FAQs to help week out misinformation and answer people’s questions.
Now is the Perfect Time for Eastvale Cityhood
Facing a $131.5 million budget cut, “[the Riverside County Board of] Supervisors directed county departments to build budgets for next year that included significant cuts that could result in fewer sheriff’s deputies, the closing of fire stations and reduced code-enforcement staffing,” wrote Duane W. Gang in the April 14th edition of the Press Enterprise.*
Those that oppose cityhood frequently state that they are satisfied with services provided by the county, yet the above statement says in a nutshell that the county supervisors must evaluate the health of the whole county—of which the unincorporated community of Eastvale is a mere speck in the vastness of other unincorporated communities within the county.

Jeff DeGrandpre for Eastvale City Council
Capping three years of leadership of the cityhood effort, Jeff DeGrandpre recently decided to expand on his experience as President of the Eastvale Incorporation Committee and run for the inaugural City Council.
An Inland Empire business owner for over two decades, Jeff and his wife Deanne are local business leaders – in addition to Jeff’s role as lead negotiator for cityhood.
A Business Leader Who Understands
Jeff brings real-world experience in health, government, and private-sector marketing to the race for City Council. Drawing on a business career that has taken him across the country for years, Jeff set clear goals early in the Eastvale incorporation effort that any cityhood proposal would have to protect against tax increases, attract jobs, and build Eastvale as a family-oriented community.
As just one of very few cityhood efforts to make it to the ballot and with dual elections on June 8th for Cityhood and Council, Jeff set some clear priorities for the new city:
- Make every street, every home, and every playground safe. Jeff has given many speeches the past three years on behalf of Eastvale incorporation – and in every one no matter the group, the first question is usually about keeping our streets safe. Jeff and the voters share the key understanding that this is the first and most important job for local government.
- Keep our local taxes low and attract more jobs. Fresh from leading the three-year fiscal analysis of Eastvale, Jeff is the leader we need to ensure that the new Council follows the agreements Jeff formulated with the County and other agencies. This will assure that our local taxes remain low and that the funds remain in Eastvale, attracting jobs with quality developments.
- End commuter traffic cutting through Eastvale and build more lanes on our local freeways. Jeff serves on the Riverside County Transportation Commission Task Force to improve the 15 freeway, making sure that plans to add lanes and keep the rush-hour commuters who cut through Eastvale ON the freeway and moving!
Jeff urges a YES vote on Eastvale cityhood on June 8th and reminds you to vote for DeGrandpre for Council. For more information, do not hesitate to call him by phone or at any of the web resources listed below.
